Here is How to Apply for the University of Calabar Hostel in 2024/2025

1. Ensure you have paid your Acceptance Fee and school fees if you are a new student.

2. Ensure you have paid your UNICAL SCHOOL FEES for this academic session if you are an old student.

3. Log on to unicalstudentaffairs.online

4. Click on “APPLY NOW”.

5. Input Your School Fees Pin

6. You will be requested to enter your school fees Pin or the e-transact number, then click on “Validate“.

7. Upon successful Validation of your fee payment, the online form would display for you to complete the form and submit.

8. Congratulations, you have applied for UNICAL hostel accommodation.

9. Kindly await further directives from Students Affairs Divison.

The hostel rates per session are as follows:

1. Halls 2, 2 Annex, 4, 5, 5 Annex, 6, 7, 8 and 9: N21,500 for a bed space (4 occupants per room)

2. Female Special Hostel: N60,000for a bed space (2 occupants per room, self – contained)

Windsworth Hostels

This is the only private hostel on campus, and which the University recognises.

The services offered by the hostel, the rates and mode of payment are fully determined by the Company. The rates are as follows:

1. N105,000 for a bed space (4 occupants per room, self-contained)

2. N210,000 for a bed space (2 occupants per room, self-contained)

3. N420,000 for a room (single occupant, self-contained)

Outside the one-off, whole payment for the year, there are flexible payment options for First Timers Only according to the rates in the Windsworth Hostels, viz:

1. N105,000: Initial deposit of N30,000 is required, while the balance of N75,000 is expected to be paid before the end of the first 3 months of occupancy;

2. N210,000: A deposit of N60,000 is required and the balance of N150,000 is expected to be paid before the end of the first 3 months of occupancy;

3. N420,000: A deposit of N105,000 is required and the balance of N315,000 is expected to be paid before the expiration of the first 3 months of occupancy.

1. Payment of school fees for the session

2. Indication of interest for hostel accommodation on the portal: unicalstudentaffairs.online within the prescribed period as determined by the Student Affairs Division

3. Payment of the hostel rate within the time required at the Unical Microfinance Bank

4. Submission of 2 file jackets, each containing: (i) photocopy of school fee receipt, (ii) Bank teller for accommodation payment, (iii) 2 Passports.
